Glass tempering furnace is equipment for producing tempered glass by physical or chemical methods, including physical glass tempering furnace and chemical glass tempering furnace.
Physical glass tempering furnace uses the technical treatment of heating flat glass and then quenching it to form compressive stress on the surface of the cooled glass and tensile stress inside the glass, thereby improving the strength of the glass and turning ordinary annealed glass into tempered glass. Since this tempering method does not change the chemical composition of the glass, it is called a physical glass tempering furnace. If divided according to the characteristics of the heating method of the equipment, the equipment can be divided into forced convection heating tempering furnace and radiation heating tempering furnace. Physical glass tempering furnaces usually produce flat glass or bent glass for architectural glass, home applicacian glass, furniture glass, decoration glass, etc.
Chemical glass tempering furnace is to improve the strength of glass by changing the chemical composition of the glass surface. At present, there are methods such as surface dealkalization and alkali metal ion exchange; because this tempering method changes the chemical composition of the glass, it is called chemical glass tempering equipment. Chemical glass tempering furnaces usually produce home appliance glass, optical glass of phones, pads, screen, etc.
